Where you are almost falls under the parameters of a love triangle (rectangle.) The best way I can explain the plot is this:
Emma loves Graham, but Reid wants Emma and Brooke wants Graham, but Graham loves Emma. The basic plot is Reid and Brooke try to cause trouble for Emma & Graham so they can both get the party desired to fall for them. I say almost because Tammara Webber does an amazing job of keeping the drama to a minimum. Despite their best efforts, Emma & Graham only truly want each other throughout the whole novel, so I refuse to put it in love triangle land.

I have to say that I liked this one better than its predecessor, Between The Lines. I love Graham & Emma together, they are so perfect and getting to read from Graham’s perspective was definitely a big incentive to read this as soon as possible. He’s such a sweetheart and I adore him. Getting to read from Brooke’s perspective was a bit of a downer because she was just as bitchy as I imagined her to be. The more I read, the less I liked her. Reid’s character improves a bit, but overall, I really just don’t like him and since I know book 3 is all about him, I’m iffy about reading it. I have it and I’ll get to it eventually, but I’m not in a big hurry.

I have to say that one of my favorite characters was Emma’s bestie, Emily. Spunky and fun, Emily doesn’t take anyone’s shit and she pushes Emma to do better. I would love to see a book with her perspective, but since she already has a great boyfriend and a book starring her would only mean conflict in her life, I don’t wish it upon her.

Wow, this review is short. I guess it’s because while I really loved it, it’s just not as good as Easy, therefore doesn’t have me writing two pages gushing over every little detail. If you enjoyed Between The Lines, definitely read this. If you like contemporary YA, definitely read this. If you loved Easy, read this, though it’s not as good (nothing really is).
