This is supposed to be one of the greatest romantic stories in history, but I just don't see it. Romeo, in my humble opinion, is a lackluster character who is very unstable when it comes to his love life. In the beginning, he is head over heels for a girl who is not our heroine and then jumps to love Juliet based solely upon her looks. After this instant, magical love springs up in both characters, mayham subsequently occurs leaving them both dead. Which is supposed to show the romance all the more because neither could deal with the idea of living without the other. It all seems a little preposteous to me. The fact that the timeline of the story, from meeting til death, is a whopping five days does little to change my opinion.
